People Need the Lord

PEOPLE NEED THE LORD
by: Steve Green
              I
Ev'ryday they pass me by,
I can see it in their eyes.
Empty people filled with care,
Headed who knows where.

               II
On they go through private pain.
Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides their silent cries.
Only Jesus hear.

Chorus I
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize, people need the Lord.

                 III
We are called to take His light,
To a world where wrong seems right.
What could be too great a cost for,
Sharing life with one who's lost?

                 IV
Through His love our hearts can feel,
All the grief they bear,
They must hear the words of life
Only we can share.

Chorus II
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize, that we must give our lives
For people need the Lord.

Raise your voices vales and mountains,
Flow'ry meadows, streams and fountains.
Praise O praise the loveliest maiden.
Ever the creator made.

Laudate, laudate, laudate Mariam,
Laudate, laudate, laudate Mariam.

                   II
Murm'ring brooks you tribute bringing.
Little birds with joyfull singing.
Come with mirthful praise laden.
To your Queen be homage paid. (Chorus)

                   III
Say sweet Virgin we implore Thee.
Say what beauty God sheds o'er Thee.
Praise and thanks to Him be given,

Behold The Wood

By:  Dan Schute, S.J.
Arr. by:  Ron Michael Alquisada

Antiphon:
Behold, behold the wood of the cross.
On which is hung our salvation.
O come let us adore.

                 I
Unless a grain of wheat shall fall,
Upon the ground and die,
It shall remain but a single grain,
And not give life.

                 II
And when my hour of glory come,
As all was meant to be
You shall see me lifted up
Upon a tree.

                   III
For there can be no greater love,
Shown upon this land,
Than in the one who came to die
That we might live.
